Press ReleaseNew Hires Round Out adBlocks’ Client-Service TeamKennebunk, Maine, April 1, 2003 — adBlocks has rounded out its client-service team with three recent hires. Each new member brings a diversity of personal and professional experience that will benefit both the company and its customers. Finding a good fit is always an exciting challenge at adBlocks. “It’s about so much more than simply filling a position,” explains COO Jon Safford. “We’re a dynamic, entrepreneurial company, so we look for people who can bring something extra. People who can help drive the evolution of the company, in terms of both our corporate ethos and our bottom line.” Each of the three new team members brings experience well beyond the scope of conventional client service. Attracting that sort of talent keeps adBlocks at the forefront of the industry with first-class training and support. Nathan Mills brings to adBlocks a rich background in technology and marketing. As an owner and Vice President of Forest Management Resource, Inc., he oversaw operations for the provider of Digital Timber, a database application for the timber industry. In addition, Nathan brings extensive experience in advertising and media from a distinguished career in commercial photography, where he has worked with such major retail clients as L.L. Bean, Talbot’s, J. Jill, and G.H. Bass & Company. Gordon Mangum brings five years of IT experience from the financial and broadcast radio and TV industries. His expertise in network configuration and server/domain administration in both Windows and Novell environments will be an asset as adBlocks clients adopt application-serving as the preferred deployment of its workflow automation software, adSails. Gordon also has a strong background in audio production and engineering. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia with degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Recently, he has taught courses in the history of Buddhist thought. Mike Orciani is a recent graduate of Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute, where he earned a BS in Management Information Systems. Most recently, Mike worked with Shaker Computer of Troy, NY, a firm specializing in accounting and project management software for the construction industry. His experience there as a Client Support Analyst and Trainer will allow him to have an immediate impact on the quality of service adBlocks extends to its clients. Mike is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and the most dedicated hockey fan adBlocks has ever met. All three will begin by assisting in adBlocks’ client-service efforts. But technical support and training is not really a separate department at adBlocks. It is more of a mission in which almost everyone in the company participates. “We all wear many hats here,” says founder Annie Kennedy Phelps. “True, the development department and executive staff are insulated from day-to-day client demands, but at least half the company has regular contact with our end-users. It keeps us grounded and connected to our sense of purpose as a company.” adBlocks looks forward to the contributions each of these new hires will make. adBlocks is the premier developer of workflow automation solutions for the advertising sales industry. Founded in 1994 in Kennebunkport, Maine, it numbers some of the largest media companies in the world among its client base. |
