Captivate Network selects adSails as its new CRM solution

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine, October 13, 2004— adBlocks, the premier developer of workflow automation solutions for the advertising sales industry, has added Captivate Network, the leading provider of digital elevator advertising, to its client roster. The two companies signed an agreement last week that will see adBlocks' software, adSails, deployed for all of Captivate's us and Canadian sales operations.

The agreement concludes Captivate's search for a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool to improve its sales operations. The company evaluated a number of solutions in its RFP process, eventually narrowing the field to salesforce.com and adBlocks. Intuitive user-interface design and pre-existing customization to the advertising sales process gave adBlocks' solution the edge.

This enterprise deployment of adSails software will standardize operations and give management greater visibility into sales force activities. Captivate faces a complex sales environment: a single sale can involve multiple salespeople, multiple client contacts, and multiple planning and buying agencies. One of the deciding factors in Captivate's selection of adSails was its data structure, which was specifically designed to model these complex relationships. In addition to addressing Captivate's CRM needs, adSails will standardize the order generation and management process. The ability to systematize rate and inventory data was an important consideration in Captivate's decision.

Captivate has opted for an on-demand deployment, which delivers adSails software through adBlocks' ASP. This deployment method offers users access to their data from any location with an internet connection. Captivate joins a growing list of clients who are choosing to minimize the capital expenses associated with set-up and maintenance of the infrastructure required for enterprise application hosting.

The contract with Captivate signals adBlocks' commitment to emerging technologies in the advertising marketplace. President and Lead Developer Michael Phelps expressed excitement over the agreement. "Digital advertising is an emerging medium that shows tremendous promise. Captivate is at the forefront of this trend because they deliver a very specific and highly desirable demographic--affluent professionals--at a time when that demographic is largely beyond the reach of conventional advertising. They are one of the companies out there that are going about digital advertising in an intelligent, viable way. We are thrilled to be working with the Captivate team to develop a solution that sets a standard for the entire industry."

Software configuration and implementation are underway and will proceed through the fourth quarter. Deployment and training are scheduled for January.
